Blog-king

a. BLOCKING! You all have great ideas for your plays. Mr. D and I understand your ideas because of how many times we have read your plays. BUT, the actors do not necesarily understand you "vision". Please describe to them what you see, what you think. They need to know what they are doing (check their scripts if you need to!). It wastes time to keep correcting them in the Black Box. "Outside time" would be the best time for you to desribe this to them.

b. EVERYONE OFF BOOK: Monday!

c. We will be timing your plays on Monday to see the approximate run time.

    i think mine is like 15 minutes...hopefully no longer than that. i have the blackbox today (thursday) im nervous...

    Mr. Moore/Mr. D: is our play one of the ones where we need to be concerned about blocking?

    Mine is around, maybe under, 10 mins. And I'm not going to be here on Monday but that shouldn't make a difference if they're already off book.

    And by the way Mr. Moyer, there is no way you are the Blog King

    I don't think mine is too long...maybe 10-15 minutes?
    Other than that I think today went well. Most of the actors new there lines, but hopefully next time I'm in the blackbox they will be completely off book.

    ermaz,

    from what i could see, your blocking is coming along well. don't forget that striking all those chairs are your actors' responsibility so make sure you include that "blocking" in with your the rest as well.

    ahh runtime? i've yet to run mine all the way through yet! i'll most likely have to do a lot of cutting...and condensing.

    Uhhhh... like 52 minutes? I actually have no idea how long my play will run, come to think of it. Now you've got me curious.

    i think ours is roughly 15 minutes too....
    our blocking is going well they usually pick up on it the only thing is that we have some brand new actors so i think that once they get more comfortable with the blocking it'll run smoother
