My day started off sad: monday, rain, clouds, ripped pants, missed belt loop, and a pull in my tie... but then I came to play practice.

Kacie: 13:00
2. Where is everyone? If you are going to miss a practice please let Mr. D or I know. We will be handing out points for those of you who were not here without (what we determine to be) a legitimate excuse.

ReplyDeleteanyway...today for me was pretty productive. I was able to set up Woodstock for everyone to watch, and that seemed to go over well and keep the hallway noise to almost nothing but the movie :) I'm going to lend it to Luke so he can hopefully get on track with his character. It was a bit cloudy at first. Hopefully my attempt at trying to (60s)/70s-ify my cast will pay off in the end. As for tomorrow I'm very nervous to attempt my dream sequence scene and am praying that everyone will be outgoing enough and coordinated enough to make it happen. Fingers crossed!!
i enjoyed your woodstock display today darby. so....is that girl of which we do not speak not doing the show for sure? I NEED ANSWERS. i have my practice tomorrow in the blackbox................UGHHHHHHHHH i'm a mess

ReplyDeletethings are going genuinely good. everyone was doing pretty well with lines =)
I just want them to be a little more animated, but I'm hoping that will come as they know their lines a little better.
I'm also thinking of having this tension-y cool music playing under the lines up until Sasha has her freakout?...I'll bring the music tomorrow to see what you peeps think
Sorry I wasn't there today, I'm actually stranded in Ohio right now. My flight kept getting puched back until they ultimately cancelled it, but I'll make it to the next one if I ever get out of this godforsaken state....

ReplyDeleteI ran through my play twice..only 13 minutes..not to bad!?
Just really nervous about people and lines and about speaking clearly. Also, I am having problem with one of my actors portraying the character as I viewed him...but I'll talk to you about that later Ms. Houston.
Sounds like everyone is on track. Get the other people on here...the next two weeks will be so nuts.
