You Made It!

Hey guys. You made it to opening night! Congratulations.
Last minute details...
I will need a few of you to usher, show people to seats, etc. Sean is managing tickets in the lobby. Yikes.
Remember that Sat. night is strike. That's an important thing in Pennington Drama, so don't flake out on me yet.

From what I saw this afternoon (end of Kacie's/Matt's/Darby's/Sean's) the show looks awesome. Lucy wouldn't let me leave. I am excited to see your work.

  1. It's gonna be epic, and it must be said that Tom Provine, yet again, dazzled the stage tonight. By the way I truly have no idea what i'm doing for tickets.

  4. yesterday was a whirlwind! although my run had a few major technical difficulties...the show must go on! AND IT DID. I ran around like a crazy person trying to keep the play on its feet when things went awry. But, Luke truly shined and kept the play going amazingly. I have a lot of faith in tonight's performance, and can't wait!! No more negativity tonight. IT'S HAPPENING!!!

  5. ...by the way. I've never gotten the chance to say this...because last night was the first time I was able to watch other shows. But, every single one is brilliant in its own right!! Nice job! Seriously.

  6. Okay.....so i think my show went really well!! it wasn't perfect but i wasn't expecting perfect. and im pretty sure im the only one who really noticed mistakes. im really proud of my cast for stepping up and doing their best. Nick was absolutely fantastic. i've gotten several positive comments about him saying how great he was. it was received well i think since at the end i heard about 5 people say "awwwww!" mr fulton also said something really nice that meant a lot....he said he "got it" which was really important to me because that's the one thing that i was afraid of. The lighting was great and the running crew was awesome. HAHA REMEMBER WHEN NICK PUT THE BLANKET IN THE COFFIN AND THERE WAS THAT HUGE PUFF OF DUST....yeah that was funny. the show definitely exceeded my expectations and then some. i was also afraid people would think my show was boring but looking around in the audience people were paying attention so that was a big relief also.

this is my letter to everyone:
    Dear everyone,
CONGRATULATIONS! :) all of our plays were a great success and you should all be very proud of them....hey digiacomo.....WE MADE IT!!
    love,

  8. oh colleen, you had to get that last phrase in, didn't you...i thought your play went very well, and i think the reason so many people "got it" is that tells a timeless story that everyone can relate to...i enjoyed it very much as well as the other 9.

to all of you...thanks for a great time, i truly enjoyed working with each of you. good luck next year to wherever you may end up. each of you will be missed by students and faculty alike. and as always, please come back and visit!!!

  9. It's hard to face the fact that the shows are already over and done with. A whole lot of preparation was put into these shows and it's kind of shocking how quickly it was all over. However, I must say that I was extremely pleased with how everything went. Through my play I wanted people to be entertained, shocked, and given the ability to bob their heads up and down to some dope Hip Hop, but most of all I wanted people just to gain a small glimpse into Martin Kitto's world. I believe this was accomplished through the fantastic work by the actors, Mr. Harding's sound cues, and everyone else. I just wanted to say it's been wicked fun and as Martin himself would have said, "That was some dope Sh*t!" Thank you too all.

P.S. Ms. Houston that was my meaningful final blog.

  10. Thanks again to Mr. Moore, Mr. Dejock, Ms. Houston, and Mr. Harding. Without your guidance the show would have surely flopped, Thank You!

  12. Our final performance was definitely a whirlwind! ..of everything! and it certainly took us every last second to get everything in order. But we did it!!! The teching was finally PERFECT! it was flawless...so I have to give thanks to Pibl and Mr. Harding and the running crew for that one. Luke finally came out of his shell and ROCKED IT! He exceeded my expectations that were already too high. He finally stepped up and became the glue of my show. Or as Mr. DiGiacomo says...he was the water from my fortune cookie quote (water not only can keep a ship afloat but also can sink it.) that was him! and he kept the ship afloat on friday :) I honestly don't have any complaints except for only having one run of it. I only got to see bits and pieces of it since I stayed active through the whole thing...trying to make sure everything was happening! And...it certainly did. Thanks everyone for tolerating me through this process. I went overboard a few too many times and took anger and insanity out on a lot of people. I truly would not have made it through without the support and guidance of Houston, DiGiacomo, Moore, and Harding!! Thanks for trusting me and letting me run with this :) I will REALLY miss going to the blackbox everyday to spend time with everyone involved and laughing obnoxiously with Moore and DiGiacomo. I can't thank you enough!!!
    THE END.
