ReplyDelete...rehearsal was on speed today! for me at least. but in a way it helped the mood. it was more energetic but serious when it needed to be. i literally walked them through my dream sequence scene to start...i know i should be sitting but i thought it was in everyone's best interest that i show them. then we ran the scene! (roughly) but we ran it. we have the framework now i think i can try and do some tweaking with hallway time! i just need to get motivated.
this would be a good start if i had double the rehearsals ahead of me. i should be at the point where i'm watching them run the show and re-running over and over. but...i'm not.

my practice tuesday was balls. thats the only word that comes to mind when i think of those 30 minutes. it was really discouraging because i feel like people aren't taking anything i say seriously. its the worst. AHHHH. i had a classic mental breakdown today.....twas a breakdown for the ages.

ReplyDeleteGreat quote? No but really, I enjoyed. Music is a great pump up for the cast and it will help them loosen up...they need it. At least in our show. They are very uptight and nervous. Rehersing with the stage lights on and house lights off is a great idea. It worked really well for us.
